AkageraNationalPark.com is a static, content-only website. We do not run user accounts, we do not have a login, and we do not ask you for personal information anywhere on the site.
This policy explains the limited data processing that does occur, largely through the third-party services we rely on. It was last reviewed in 2026.
What we collect directly
Nothing. This site has no contact forms, no newsletter sign-up, no comment system and no user accounts. We do not set our own tracking cookies and we do not build profiles of visitors.
If you email us, we hold your message and email address for as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry, and we do not use it for anything else.
Local storage
The site stores a single value in your browser’s local storage — your chosen language — so that we can send you to the right version of the site on a future visit. It never leaves your browser, is not readable by us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
GetYourGuide
We are an affiliate partner of GetYourGuide GmbH. Pages on this site load GetYourGuide’s widget and analytics script, and links to GetYourGuide carry our partner identifier so that bookings can be attributed to us.
GetYourGuide may set cookies and process data under its own privacy policy when its scripts load or when you follow a link to its site. We never receive your name, payment details or booking information — only aggregated commission reporting.
Trip.com
Accommodation links point to Trip.com. When you follow one, Trip.com processes your data under its own privacy policy. As with GetYourGuide, we never see your booking or payment details.
Hosting, fonts and CDNs
- The site is served as static files by our hosting provider, which processes standard server logs including IP address and user agent for security and abuse prevention.
- Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Google may process your IP address when the font files are requested; see Google’s privacy policy for detail.
- We do not use Google Analytics or any comparable site-wide analytics product.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK, data protection law gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection over personal data held about you. Because we hold almost no personal data, in practice this usually concerns email correspondence.
